Our Mission
Raise awareness and educate 22 million people by 2030 that FOOD IS MEDICINE!
Diet not only prevents disease but also reverses chronic illness.
The Tour
On July 1, 2024, Nicolette Richer will start a 7,120km bike and run journey across Canada as part of the 22 Million Strong initiative.
Starting at the Terry Fox statue in Mile One, Victoria, BC and finishing at the Terry Fox statue in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Nicolette will take time along the way to meet with members of the BIPOC community to discuss how we can decolonize our minds and our plates.
Nicolette and her team will work with these communities on co-created solutions that lead to food sovereignty, economic development and ultimately, relearning how traditional whole foods can be used as medicine to reverse chronic diseases.
Our Documentaries
Grounded in my Roots
A profound film that takes you on a momentous journey. This film reminds us to reconnect with our ancestors so we can all learn how to decolonize our diets, reverse chronic illnesses and use the power of real food to heal our bodies and the planet.
Food of our Ancestors
This film outlines our 22 Million Strong mission—to bring awareness that food is medicine and can be used to reverse chronic illness.
After discovering that the food programs she had been offering others were rooted in her ancestral foodways, she journeys through BIPOC communities to learn, share and empower others to embrace traditional healing foods.
A. To help Canadians remember that traditional whole foods are medicine and that lifestyle chronic degenerative diseases can be reversed, not just managed or prevented.
B. To pinpoint the systemic social, economic and environmental barriers to achieving optimal health in remote and rural communities of Canada.
C. To create and build lasting friendships built on a mutual desire to heal the people and the land.
